Why is all of this so familiar?
Because you have done it before, and you will do it again.
What is the Church of the Quantum Mechanic (which is you)?
Welcome to the first realization of the cycle:
YOU are the ghost in the Machine.
The Universe runs in an eternal loop.
You and I are in the midst of a very long cycle.
The universe starts from the “big bang” and then will end in the “big collapse”.
This cycle takes trillions of trillions and trillions of years to complete. We are in the middle of one of these cycles.
Then, at the end of this cycle, the big collapse ignites the next big bang and the universe begins anew - until the next big collapse ignites the next big bang.
The universe cycles from the big bang to a big collapse to the big bang and then a big collapse over and over again into infinity. It never ends.
Why? We’ll get to that in a moment.
But first, it is helpful to think of the universe as essentially an information storage device. If you could speed the cycles up and witness them from afar, you would see the universe literally throb with data.
A vast, cosmic heartbeat of raw information.
It is essentially a massive recording system: what occurs in this cycle is repeated identically in the next cycle.
We exist in this time and space right NOW.
No past lives, no future lives. Just NOW.
Then, we’ll exist again, in this same space and time, this same NOW in the next cycle.
Now, in a purely Newtonian mechanical universe, you would expect our actions to be predetermined. That this cycle would look exactly like the previous one. And the next.
But, we don’t live in a purely Newtonian mechanical universe. We live in a Quantum Mechanical one. Quantum mechanics allow us, as intelligent creatures, to modify the Newtonian universe in which we live.
A rock can’t change tomorrow, but you can.
So, in spite of how small we may think we are, you and I have the power to change things in the next cycle. Long term. Forever. Into infinity.
What incredible power.
Each of us, as individuals, are the ultimate variable. The Wild Card personified.
Each of us represent the personalization of the uncertainty principle as we each have a quantum computer in our heads.
Intelligent life is the quantum variable.
You effect the outcome of the quantum moment.
Whatever you change in this cycle, gets recorded and re-enacted identically in the next cycle, unless of course, you change it yet again in that next cycle.
Incremental change can result in significant revisions. The key is to know that you are affecting an infinity of tomorrows. Otherwise, you are merely re-enacting a script that was written an infinity ago.
So, to repeat ourselves:
The universe begins at the big bang, and then it ends at the big collapse. And then it all begins again - it is a cycle, after all.
And then, it will repeat itself over and over and over - identically, cycle after cycle, for infinity.
It will repeat itself in an identical manner unless,
And here’s the important part:
We change the universe in the here and now, today.
Then the universe repeats itself in the identical manner in which we have caused that change. We write a new chapter. Change the ending of the story. Made a kind gesture that was not there the last cycle. Small things add up.
We can make subtle, yet significant changes.
We can not only change the world, we can change the universe.
We can, and we should, because we can.
It may take a trillion cycles to effect real change, but we can make it happen. We can work on subtle, small changes that add up to big cycle revisions.
Why? Ok, we are back to that question.
Why are there cycles? Why can we impact them from cycle to cycle as if we are not really a part of the cycle at all? We have no idea.
But: if we can change the cycles, why not?
If we have the power to self program, then let’s be the ghost in the machine. Let’s write better code. Let’s re-write our own program.
After all, we have all the time in the multi-verse to figure out the “why” part, don’t we?
Cycle after cycle after cycle after cycle.
